Every day, Garden Connect applies the FAO56 standard to compute each zone's exact water needs, based on local weather, soil and your plants. Connected Gardena sprinklers water automatically, and Gardena or Netatmo sensors refine the calculation. Without hardware, you get a clear daily recommendation instead.
Users cut their water use by up to 50% compared to manual watering. The savings come from avoiding over-watering on wet days, adapting to real soil moisture, and watering only the zones that need it.
Your calendar relies on recognized growth models: the heat accumulated at each stage, known as growing degree-days, and for some species a period of winter chill. These thresholds are combined with your local frost dates, calculated from 10 years of weather history for your address. Dates are recalculated automatically whenever your climate data updates.
Garden Connect monitors your crops with real agronomic methods: epidemiological models analyse the weather day by day to detect infection risk, and anticipate pest emergence based on their development cycle. When a risk appears, you get the exact action to take, plus monthly prevention and care recommendations.
Only automatic watering needs connected Gardena sprinklers; every other feature works without hardware. Garden Connect supports Gardena sprinklers and sensors, plus Netatmo sensors, for soil moisture, temperature and humidity. More brands are coming.
