How do I get warned about frost in my garden?
Garden Connect sends you an alert in the morning if frost is forecast for the coming night at your garden. It shows the expected temperature, so you have time to protect your fragile plants. The forecast is for your address, and greenhouses are taken into account.
How can I anticipate vegetable garden diseases like blight or powdery mildew?
Garden Connect checks your garden's weather every day and warns you when conditions favour a disease, before the first symptoms appear. You then know what to do to protect your plants. The calculation relies on recognised scientific models, for example for tomato blight or grapevine powdery mildew.
Which app tells me when to water my garden?
Garden Connect tells you every day which zones of your garden to water and how much water to give. The calculation takes your plants, your soil, rainfall and heat into account. It follows the FAO-56 method, the international reference for estimating how much water plants need.
How do I know when to sow and harvest in my area?
Garden Connect gives you sowing, planting and harvest dates calculated for your address. It analyses 10 years of weather where you live and keeps only the dates that led to a harvest in at least 8 years out of 10. Your harvests are estimated from your actual planting date.
Does Garden Connect work without a sensor?
Yes, no sensor is needed. Garden Connect estimates the soil moisture of each zone every day from rainfall, heat and soil type. If you have Gardena or Netatmo sensors, their readings make the calculation even more precise.
Is Garden Connect free?
Garden Connect works on a subscription basis, with a free trial. The yearly plan starts with a 14-day free trial, then costs €44.99 per year. The monthly plan costs €7.99 per month, with no commitment. You can cancel at any time. Joining a friend's or family member's garden stays free. The app works on iOS, Android and the web.
Can I share my garden with family or friends?
Yes. You can invite up to 2 people to your Premium garden. They see the same plan and get the same alerts as you, without paying for a subscription. Each person signs in with their own account.
